The app does not find my receiver
- Make sure the receiver is switched on (not in deep standby) and connected to the same network as the Apple TV.
- Check that OpenWebif works: open
http://<receiver address>in a browser on a computer in the same network. - Allow local network access: Apple TV Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network → EnigmaTV.
- If your network uses a guest Wi-Fi or "client isolation", Apple TV cannot see other devices – use the main network.
- You can enter the address manually: Apple TV Settings → Apps → EnigmaTV → STB Address.
"Receiver not reachable"
EnigmaTV knows your receiver but it does not answer. The app keeps trying in the background and continues automatically when the receiver is back. If it stays unreachable, restart the receiver; check its network cable or Wi-Fi.
Channels list works but live TV does not start
- If Require authentication for http streams is enabled on the receiver, enter its user name and password in EnigmaTV → Settings → Connection.
- The receiver needs a free tuner for every stream. A recording or another Apple TV may be using the tuners.
- Encrypted channels play only if the receiver can decrypt them and Unscramble http streams is enabled (EnigmaTV → Settings → Streaming).
Picture stutters
Connect the receiver to your router with an Ethernet cable. Wi-Fi on receivers is often slow for a continuous TV stream.
Timeshift
Pause with the Play/Pause button; swipe up for the info overlay and swipe on the remote's touch surface to move back in time – to the right end to return to live. The buffer length (30 minutes to 3 hours) is set in EnigmaTV → Settings.
Recordings are missing
EnigmaTV lists recordings from all recording locations the receiver reports and their parent folder. Recordings on network shares that the receiver has not mounted are not visible.
